On October 26, searches are being conducted in the city council in Sumy, including the office of acting mayor Yulia Pavlyk. In total, 12 searches are being conducted in the city, including at businesses and utilities, suspilne.media reports.
According to the publication, they are currently checking the facts that a number of business entities, in prior conspiracy with officials of the Sumy City Council, have been misappropriating budget funds allocated for the purchase of inventory.
As a reminder, Ukrainian law enforcement officers detained Sumy Mayor Oleksandr Lysenko. He was caught taking a bribe on October 2. In addition to him, the director of the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Sumy City Council was also detained.
