In 2024, the first products from Western defense companies that open their offices in Ukraine will be manufactured. This was announced by Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn at a briefing on the sidelines of the NATO Industrial Forum in Stockholm.
"They (the companies - ed.) started with maintenance, repair and other operations, and then they plan to start production. I am sure that by the end of the year we will have more companies opening offices in Ukraine. And next year will be the year when we will receive the first products from them," Kamyshyn said.
He noted that many Western defense companies have already opened offices in Ukraine, either independently or as part of a joint venture with Ukrainian companies.
"For us, the main thing is that companies come and start local activities in Ukraine," the minister emphasized.
