The EU is ready to allocate to Ukraine only half of the planned funding for the next year - 9 billion euros, not 18. This was stated by Deputy Economy Minister Oleksiy Sobolev, RBC-Ukraine reports.
The total amount of promised funding for four years is 50 billion euros. Of this amount, 39 billion is to cover the budget deficit.
"We are now working with the Europeans to ensure that 18 billion out of these 39 billion come next year," Sobolev said during a telethon.
The negotiations are ongoing. In his opinion, the EU's final decision may become known in December.
