Russian troops continue to increase their forces and are trying to capture a strategically important railway junction in the Kupyansk direction - Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi. This was reported by the commander of the intelligence unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Denys Yaroslavskyi, in an interview with Radio Liberty.
"The enemy is trying to storm us around the clock. Attacks do not stop. They are trying to recapture Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi. This is a really strategic railway junction, which it is trying to grab hold of and is striking at the crossings, at all the facilities that can cut us off from Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi. Yes, it is really trying to surround Kupyansk. This is its goal. We understand this goal. The enemy is suffering losses, but by moving additional forces they are quickly recovering. We do not feel that the enemy is getting smaller. We know that it is trying to try to repeat the assault in the near future. The situation is very difficult," Yaroslavskyi said.
