"Ukrainian Defense Industry" and the German defense concern Rheinmetall have established a joint venture. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
He noted that the joint venture will maintain and repair equipment supplied to Ukraine by its allies.
This company will also localize the production of leading models of Rheinmetall AG equipment.
Shmyhal said that Rheinmetall-Ukrainian Defense Industry LLC was registered on October 18.
"The establishment of the joint venture is, without exaggeration, a landmark event that brings cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level and will allow us to build the arsenal of the free world together," the Prime Minister added.
