Attempts to block the road to Avdiivka: Logistics are complicated by shelling

The Russian occupiers do not stop shelling the roads leading to Avdiivka, making it difficult to evacuate residents and deliver humanitarian aid. The enemy is trying to maintain control over the road through constant shelling. This was reported by the head of Avdiivka city military administration Vitaliy Barabash on the air of Radio Liberty.

According to the representative of the administration, as of this morning, 1601 people remain in Avdiivka, and local residents are reluctant to leave the city, and it is not easy to persuade them.

Barabash added that no evacuations have been carried out over the past three days, but they are scheduled for today.

The official called the logistics situation "very difficult."

"The 22 kilometers to the city are constantly under fire, both day and night. This makes it very difficult to evacuate and bring in humanitarian aid. Any logistics is all through one way," said Barabash.

The head of the CMA spoke about the attempts of the Russian occupants to block the road to Avdiivka and keep it under constant fire.

"If they have the opportunity, weather permitting, they launch unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan" and monitor the road. Any movement is a signal for them to open fire," the official said.
