US President Joe Biden believes that the strike on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip was not carried out by Israel. According to him, it was done by "another team", Sky News reports.
After arriving in Tel Aviv, Biden held a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The American president said he was "deeply saddened and outraged by yesterday's explosion at a hospital in Gaza".
"From what I saw, it looks like it was done by another team, not you. But there are many people who are not sure, so we have a lot to overcome," Biden said.
Netanyahu, for his part, called Biden's visit to Israel "deeply moving." And Biden promised that the United States will make sure that Israel has what it needs to defend itself.
As we reported earlier, the Israeli Defense Forces denied a direct airstrike on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip and its involvement in it.
