The United States has already allocated $522 million for the purchase of energy equipment, as well as to support and protect Ukraine's energy system. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the government's press service reports.
"We are on the verge of a difficult winter. Thanks to the support of our partners, we jointly went through the last, most difficult heating season in our history. This winter, we have support not only financially but also for energy recovery. The United States has already allocated $522 million," he said at a meeting of the presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President.
The meeting was held on October 16 under the chairmanship of the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and attended by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, US Special Representative for Ukraine's Economic Recovery Penny Pritzker, officials, parliamentarians, representatives of the RMA and local governments.
