The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, had his first telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Charles Brown. He reported this on Telegram.


"First of all, I briefed my colleague in detail on the current state of affairs, the operational situation at the front, our steps in defense and offense. I informed him about the enemy's intensification of actions in certain areas and its possible plans," Zaluzhnyi wrote.


The Commander-in-Chief also discussed with General Brown the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including air defense systems, artillery systems and ammunition.


Zaluzhnyi expressed gratitude for the latest military aid package announced by the United States.


Particular attention was paid to the training of Ukrainian servicemen and the rehabilitation of units.


In turn, General Brown emphasized that the United States is ready to support Ukraine and continue fruitful cooperation in the fight against Russian aggression.
