Russia wants to accuse Ukraine of selling weapons to Hamas militants - GUR

Russian intelligence services are launching a campaign aimed at undermining Ukraine's reputation in the Middle East by using the Hamas attack on Israel. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the GUR, Russian intelligence services plan to accuse Kyiv of selling Western weapons provided by allies to terrorists.

According to the information provided by the GUR, the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has already handed over to Hamas trophy weapons captured during the fighting in Ukraine, which were manufactured in the USA and EU countries.

"The next step, according to the Russians' plan, should be fake accusations of the Ukrainian military of allegedly selling Western weapons to terrorists on a regular basis," the GUR reports.

It is assumed that these fake accusations will be used to create a series of "investigations" and "exposes" in the Western media.

Russia's intelligence services intend to use the comments of a traitor from the Ukrainian Border Guard Service, Senior Lieutenant Ruslan Syrov, who recently fled to Moscow, to add credibility to this disinformation campaign.

"Another provocation of the enemy is aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the complete cessation of military assistance to our country from Western partners," the statement said.
