President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Ihor Tantsyura from the post of commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Major General Anatoliy Bargylevych has been appointed to this position, according to the president's website.
Presidential Decree No. 678/2023 dismissing Tantsyura from the post of commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was published on October 9.
By the next decree, No. 679/2023, the president appointed Bargylevych to this position.
"To appoint Major General Bargylevych Anatoliy Vladyslavovych as the Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the document reads.
Since 2022, Major General Anatoliy Bargylevych has been the Chief of Staff of the Eastern Group of Forces, and before that, the Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces.
