US House of Representatives approved $300 million for Ukraine: details and concerns

On Thursday evening, the US House of Representatives voted to allocate $300 million to support Ukraine. This was reported by Politico.

These funds were allocated from the draft US defense budget and were adopted by a separate vote.

In addition, the House of Representatives passed a $826 billion defense spending bill.

Although both bills were approved, Democrats fear that the allocation of aid to Ukraine in a separate bill could be presented by Russian propaganda as a rejection of Ukraine.

"The Russians are good at propaganda. It will look like America is abandoning its commitment to Ukraine," said Adam Smith, a Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee.
