The investigation into the shelling of the market in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, on Wednesday, September 6, is still ongoing. At the same time, we should not forget that it is the Russian Federation that has invaded Ukraine and is striking at civilians. This is how Mykhailo Podolyak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, commented on a recent NYT article in his Telegram.
Podolyak also said that the appearance of articles in foreign publications that express doubts about Russia's role in the incident will contribute to the spread of conspiracy theories. In his opinion, this will require additional investigation by law enforcement agencies.
Podolyak emphasized that society will eventually receive answers to questions related to the events in Kostyantynivka.
He also reminded that Russia launched the invasion of Ukraine and is responsible for the war, including regular attacks on civilian infrastructure and population.
According to him, Ukraine carries out exclusively defensive actions to protect its territories.
As we reported earlier, The New York Times claims that the strike on the market in Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, was a "tragic accident" caused by a Ukrainian Buk missile.
