American Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine in the near future, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin said during the Ramstein meeting.
He emphasized that the United States continues to provide strong military aid to Ukraine and focused on the effective use of the aid provided.
"So we will work closely with our Ukrainian partners to ensure that all the aid we provide to Ukraine is used effectively and appropriately. We are talking about Abrams tanks, which are about to be on the battlefield in Ukraine," Lloyd Austin said.
As a reminder, 31 Abrams tanks are to be transferred to Ukraine. Initially, the transfer of the M1A2 version was discussed, but due to the long delivery time, it was decided to offer the M1A1 version.
