UN Secretary General plans to discuss "grain deal" at the General Assembly

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres intends to discuss the renewal of the grain deal. To do this, he plans to hold a series of meetings on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to Guterres.

According to the Secretary General, he intends to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"I will not say whether I am optimistic or pessimistic, but you can be sure that I am still determined to do everything possible to restore the Black Sea Initiative, exports of Ukrainian products and continue to work to facilitate, within the sanctions regime, the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers," he said.

It should be noted that on September 19-25, world leaders will arrive in New York for the UN General Assembly.
