Ukrainians were ordered to use capital letters when writing "Russian Federation"

The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Oksen Lisovyi, has signed a decree according to which Ukrainians should use capital letters when writing "Russian Federation". This was reported by People's Deputy Maksym Buzhansky on his Telegram channel.

In the message, he notes that the decree was signed on August 21.

The People's Deputy describes the decree as an unexpected manifestation of sympathy for Russia on the part of Minister Lisovyi.

The deputy also claims that by this action, the minister "publicly humiliates Russian-speaking Ukrainians so that they do not feel offended by the decree."

Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, starting on February 24, 2022, a number of media outlets and organizations have started using the accepted practice of writing the words "putin", "moscow", "russia" and "russian federation" with a lowercase letter as a sign of contempt.
