Sullivan: North Korea will pay for supplying weapons to Russia

Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor to the US President, said that arms negotiations between Moscow and Pyongyang are progressing and warned North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that his country will pay the price to the international community for selling weapons to Russia for the war in Ukraine. Sullivan said this during a briefing at the White House.

The adviser also noted that providing weapons to Russia "will not reflect well on North Korea, and it will pay for it in the international community."

Sullivan emphasized that the United States continues to put pressure on the Russian defense industry in an effort to limit its capabilities.

He also added that Moscow is looking for new sources of ammunition for its needs and called on North Korea to honor its commitments and refrain from supplying weapons to Russia that could be used against the Ukrainian people.
