Restrictions for Ukrainian deputies: trips to Poland are under control

Ukrainian people's deputies were banned from traveling to Poland, except in certain cases. The decision came into force despite some assumptions that allow MPs to participate in official business trips, including trips to parliamentary delegations to the Council of Europe, NATO and other international events. This is reported by the Polish publication Onet.

In particular, People's Deputy from "ES" Mykola Kniazhytskyi, who was invited to participate in the Economic Forum in the Polish city of Karpacz, said he would not be able to cross the border.

The publication notes that over the past week, many Ukrainian deputies have refused to participate in various events in Poland.

Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych confirmed the fact that travel restrictions had been imposed on MPs, but emphasized that there were exceptions.

"Travel is not completely prohibited, they (MPs - ed.) can go on official business trips as part of parliamentary delegations to the Council of Europe, NATO and within the framework of interparliamentary cooperation at the official invitation of the parliaments of other countries," the diplomat said.

The likely reason for this restriction, according to the publication, may be a conflict between the countries related to the issue of the embargo on grain imports from Ukraine.
