It is impossible to hold elections in Ukraine during the war, as millions of citizens are now abroad and they need to be given the opportunity to vote. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in an interview with the French TV channel France 5.
"Pour nous, c'est une lutte qui ne peut avoir d'autres issues que la victoire, autrement ce serait la mort de notre peuple."

"The problem is not whether President Zelensky will win the next election or not. The issue is different. According to our legislation, elections cannot be held in wartime," Kuleba said.
He reminded that millions of Ukrainians are now abroad and should be given the right to vote.
"So that the whole of Paris, for example, is not blocked by a line of Ukrainians standing in front of the embassy to vote. There is the problem of money. All these problems must be resolved in order to hold the elections," the minister emphasized.
