Plane crash near Zhytomyr: decoding of black boxes has begun

Investigative authorities have begun analyzing data from the black boxes of two combat training aircraft that collided in Zhytomyr region on August 25.

During the telethon, SBI Communications Advisor Tetiana Sapian clarified that the focus will be on analyzing the technical characteristics and mechanisms operating inside the aircraft.

In parallel, the Air Force has launched an internal investigation into the incident. Experts are analyzing the factors that could have led to the collision during the flight of the training combat vehicles.

In addition, eight examinations have already been launched to confirm one of the versions of the crash.

"Another piece of news for today is that eight examinations have begun. They should also prove that either the aircraft were faulty, or it was a pilot mistake, or there was a violation in the organization of flights," emphasized Sapian.
