Volodymyr Popereshniuk, one of the co-founders of Nova Poshta, expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian government is creating the Ukrainian SSR of the 1930s. He said this in a speech at iForum-2023.
"The government is building us the Ukrainian SSR of the 1930s. We have our own industrialization, called the Great Recovery, we have the dekulakization of farmers, which is what Hetmantsev (Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's tax committee) has been doing with individual entrepreneurs for four years now, we have our own labor camps that are planned for us. And this is how they are constantly tightening the screws on us," said Popereshnyuk.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the entrepreneur said, there was an atmosphere of freedom and economic liberty, but over time, this atmosphere began to change towards restrictions.
Volodymyr Popereshnyuk noted that the Soviet economic system is not applicable in modern Ukraine.
