Ukraine has strengthened its defense positions and sent additional reserves to the Lyman-Kupyansk sector to counter the advance of the Russian armed forces. This information was reported by the official representative of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevatyi, during a telethon.
He emphasized that the leadership is closely monitoring the situation in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction. He also noted that he had personally visited strategically important brigades that play a key role in strengthening defense in the region.
"Direct clear orders were given to build an echelon defense. Our firing positions were strengthened, certain methodological recommendations were provided, and reserves were redeployed. This made it impossible for the enemy to move," Cherevatyi said.
