Grant assistance will be provided to 50 small businesses affected by the widespread invasion that wish to develop the essential supply chain. Each grant will be up to €10,000, or the equivalent in Ukrainian hryvnia. You can apply for a grant through the Diia portal.
"The European Union and the German government are committed to helping Ukrainian companies continue to operate and become a pillar of sustainability and development of Ukraine's economy. The grants will stimulate enterprises to continue their economic activities, create jobs and value chains, which will generate taxes to the state and local budgets. This means that people in Ukraine will have prospects for a better life," explained Cloe Allio, Head of the Economic Cooperation, Energy, Infrastructure and Environment Unit at the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine.
Who can apply for the grant?
These are enterprises registered in Ukraine until December 31, 2019, that were affected by the hostilities or temporarily relocated to other territories. They continue to conduct business and can confirm the losses they have incurred.
"According to the research, almost 40% of Ukrainian entrepreneurs predict an increase in business turnover in 2023. It is Ukrainian companies that will play a key role in rebuilding the post-war economy, so it is important to support and stimulate the development of domestic business. The Ministry of Digital Transformation aims to create favorable conditions for the implementation of ambitious projects, including small businesses. The grant can be applied for by legal entities that meet the following criteria:
- the main type of economic activity meets the requirements for the grant
- the company has from 11 to 49 employees
- the owner is exclusively a citizen of Ukraine
- do not operate in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine on the date of submission of the application and do not have subsidiaries in the Russian Federation, Belarus and other countries on the sanctions list
- annual income from any activity does not exceed the amount equivalent to EUR 10 million
What purposes can the funds be used for?
- Preservation and creation of new jobs (with salaries for no more than 3 employees)
- Purchase of equipment, raw materials or supplies
- Expenses for renting premises
- Equipment leasing (except for personal vehicles)
- Expenses related to the movement of business
- Consulting services (including marketing and brand development)
- Certification services
During the evaluating of grant applications, preference will be given to companies that produce essential goods and services for Ukrainian citizens or operate in the fields of healthcare, architecture and engineering.
