According to a report by Radio Liberty's Brussels correspondent Rikard Jozwiak, in October the European Commission is likely to propose recommendations for starting negotiations with Ukraine on the possibility of joining the European Union. He also noted that in the second half of October the European Commission's report on EU enlargement will be published.
The journalist emphasized that this report is expected to contain recommendations not only for Ukraine, but also for Moldova to start negotiations on EU accession, as well as for Georgia to become a candidate. However, the final decision on these issues will depend on the consensus among the 27 EU members to be reached in December.
