The Armed Forces are "slowly but surely" advancing around Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The Ukrainian defense forces are gaining momentum every day.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty.
According to him, in the Bakhmut area, the Ukrainian military generally managed to advance hundreds of meters a day and seize kilometers of territory every week.
"This is a tactic of slow but steady advance. We understand that we have comparable forces and means, and sometimes the enemy outnumbers us," Cherevaty noted.
He added that the Armed Forces use tactics of coverage, maneuvers, ambushes, and not direct frontal attacks.
"And this is how we gradually move forward," he explained.
The situation at the front
According to the General Staff, over 20 combat clashes took place on the fronts last day. The defense forces destroyed 4 enemy "shahedas", anti-aircraft missiles, 8 artillery pieces, 2 EW stations and 2 enemy personnel concentration areas. At the same time, as the Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar said, last week the Armed Forces released 2 square meters. km of territory in the Bakhmut direction.
