Russian troops are trying to advance in three directions, but the Defense Forces repel the invaders' attempts.
This was announced in a summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Enemy attacks
During the day, the enemy launched 5 missile strikes, 19 airstrikes and fired 30 rocket salvo fire strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are victims among the civilian population, residential buildings were destroyed.
The probability of further missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
The situation at the front
During the day, 24 combat clashes took place.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy launched mortar and artillery attacks on more than 15 settlements. Among them Mykolaivka, Chernihiv region; Stara Huta, Grabovske, Volfine, Sumy region; Udy, Okhrimivka, Ohirtseve and Tykh of Kharkiv region.
On the Kupyansk direction, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kindrasivka and Kupyansk of the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novoyehorivka and Bilogorivka districts of the Luhansk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilogorivka of the Luhansk region and Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, more than 10 settlements were hit by enemy artillery shelling, among them Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanovske, and Bila Gora.
In the Avdiyivka direction, under heavy fire from the enemy's aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Avdiivka area. More than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, and Novokalynove of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Marinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of the city of Marinka. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, among them Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, Georgiivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the Makarivka and Staromayorske districts and shelled the settlements of Odradne, Blagodatne, Makarivka, Rivnopil and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region.
On the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of the Armed Forces. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the regions of Orikhov in the Zaporizhzhya region and Antonivka in the Kherson region. More than 25 settlements, including Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Biloghirya, Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhya region, were hit by artillery fire; Zolota Balka, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Mykhailivka, Kherson region.
Counteroffensive actions
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, and are entrenched at the achieved boundaries.
Losses of the enemy
The aviation of the defense forces made five strikes during the day on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed one operational-tactical reconnaissance UAV.
During the day, units of missile troops and artillery hit one artillery vehicle in a firing position, one station of radio-electronic warfare, as well as one area of concentration of enemy personnel.
Losses of Russia in the war
Over the past day, the Ukrainian military eliminated another 390 occupiers. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost about 245,220 personnel.
