The Defense Forces of Ukraine took measures to protect the port infrastructure. The military does not rule out new attacks by the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the spokeswoman of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Nataliya Humenyuk on the air of the telethon.
She explained that the measures taken by the military should ensure the maximum work of air defense.
"We hope that the measures taken will be quite effective, but observing that the enemy has taken a certain pause, we can conclude that he is preparing for the next attacks using, perhaps, new tactics," Gumenyuk explained.
Attacks on ports
It will be recalled that after withdrawing from the "grain agreement" Russia began shelling Ukrainian ports. Grain terminals are also hit by the enemy.
As reported, on the night of July 23, the Russian occupiers fired 19 rockets of various types in the center of Odessa. It was one of the most massive shelling of Odessa since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Russian rockets hit the historic center of the city. More than 20 historical monuments were damaged, including the partially destroyed Savior and Transfiguration Cathedral.
