The Russia-Africa summit, which takes place on July 27-28 in St. Petersburg, is a PR show for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany Svenja Schulze, reports ZDF.
"He who promises African countries cheap Russian wheat and at the same time bombards Ukrainian grain ports, does not want to fight hunger, but only wants to create new dependencies," the minister emphasized.
According to her, Russia is an "anti-colonial country" only in words, but in fact its actions in Africa are aimed at dependence and exploitation.
"This (Russia-Africa summit - ed.) is Putin's PR show," Shultze emphasized.
The head of the African Union, Azali Assoumani, called for "peaceful coexistence" of Ukraine and Russia.
This was stated by Assumani at the Russia-Africa summit, quoted by Reuters.
The head of the African Union said that "peace" between the parties would supposedly save the lives of those who depend on food supplies from the two countries.
At the same time, he did not note what exactly "peace" should be like between the countries at a time when Russia is occupying part of the territories of Ukraine.
Russia's withdrawal from the "grain agreement"
It will be recalled that the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmytro Peskov announced last week that his country is ending its participation in the "grain agreement". He complained that the Russian conditions within the framework of the agreements are not fulfilled.
Thanks to the "grain agreement", Ukraine had the opportunity to export its grain through the Black Sea, including African countries. But after the withdrawal of Russia, such grain transportation stopped, and the delivery of food to Africa was complicated.
Also, the Russian occupiers have already managed to inflict a number of strikes on Ukrainian sea and river ports. They damaged the infrastructure and grain storage places there.
