The Russians continue to rob civilians in the occupied territories. Including, they started exporting Ukrainian grain again.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Thus, since July 10, the invaders have activated the use of the port in Skadovsk, Kherson region, to export grain from this year's harvest to their ports.
Occupiers steal grain in the occupied territories
After the occupation of the cities facing the sea, the Russians actively steal Ukrainian grain. So, in 2022, Russia took out dozens of ships with grain from the occupied regions of Ukraine, and used the proceeds from the sale to support the war.
At the end of June 2023, Britain and Ukraine discussed cooperation in the issue of monitoring Ukrainian grain, which is stolen by the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, Finland's Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen said that Russia's decision to withdraw from the Black Sea Grain Initiative was "very unfortunate."
CNN writes about it.
She added that this decision will exacerbate the food crisis around the world.
"We simply have to find alternative ways to export grain from Ukraine to the markets for those people who need it the most," Valtonen said.
Russia broke the "grain agreement"
After the second explosion on the Crimean bridge, the Russian Federation announced that it was withdrawing from the "grain agreement" allegedly due to non-fulfillment of its requirements. However, it is worth noting that Russia regularly blocked the normal operation of the "agreement", disrupted ship inspections and shelled the grain terminals of Odesa ports.
After this statement, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that the export of Ukrainian grain can be continued in a tripartite format - Ukraine, Turkey and the UN.
The USA and a number of European countries reported that they are currently thinking about how to continue the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, and the EU said that they want to increase the volume of grain exports by road and rail.
