Did the explosions on the Crimean Bridge disrupt the logistics of the occupiers: experts' opinions

The explosions on the Crimean bridge will not affect the logistics of the occupiers, since the railway connection on it continues.

This was told by military experts Vladyslav Seleznyov and Oleksandr Kovalenko.

According to Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political expert of the "Information Resistance" group, the damage to the bridge as a result of the night explosions affected road traffic. And the railway, which the occupiers use to supply their troops, continues to function.

"The damage to the road surface is serious enough. They need repair work accordingly. Of course, this direction, this particular road, will be closed for some time and will not function. How long they will have time to repair it is another question," said Kovalenko.

The expert noted that for some time there will be no full-fledged road connection between mainland Russia and the temporarily occupied Crimea.

"The logistics artery that remains will work in reverse. Of course, the flow of the general movement of motor vehicles will decrease, it will be slower. But there is a nuance here. We are talking about road transport, which is used by Russian troops to move personnel, etc. to the occupied Crimea and are not used so often. It is not a predominant component. These are mainly railway tracks. And the railway now also works poorly on the Crimean Bridge, in a reverse format," Kovalenko said.

According to him, this damage is very important as a general for the logistics artery. However, on the other side there is still a railway. And therefore, more "cotton" is needed.

"Indeed, there is a 10-15% reduction in military logistics, but in general the railway can somehow pull it off. As for what exactly was the damage (to the bridge - ed.), the laws of physics are the same for everyone here. Therefore, I do not rule out that it could be an explosion that occurred under the road itself," Kovalenko added.

Military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov also believes that this "cotton" on the Crimean bridge will not affect the logistics of the occupiers. Since the railway service on it continues.

"The supply of the lion's share of the enemy's military logistics is provided by rail. Therefore, I have no illusions here. This can be a problem only for civilian transport. We see that the Russians solved this issue by launching trucks through the so-called "new territories" (occupied - ed. .). Accordingly, the ferry service will be carried out for passenger vehicles," he said.

According to the expert, military echelons will continue to travel by rail along with passenger trains to and from Crimea.

"Therefore, I do not think that this damage to the Crimean bridge in this road section will fundamentally change the situation from the military side," Seleznyov said.

 Attack on the Crimean bridge

Explosions rang out on the Crimean bridge tonight. Previously, one span of the bridge in the direction of Tamani was destroyed, another one in the direction of Kerch was damaged. The Russians blocked road and railway tracks.

The sources reported that the bridge was attacked by surface drones, it was a special operation of the SBU and the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

After that, the SBU reminded that the Crimean bridge is one of the transport corridors of military supplies for the Russians, and the traditions of warfare allow cutting the enemy's logistical routes.

At the same time, Russia called the incident a terrorist attack.
