Ukrainian soldiers continue offensive operations and have had success in the Bakhmut direction in the last day. The Armed Forces advanced south of Bakhmut.

 This was announced by the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev on the air of the telethon.

 According to him, Ukrainian troops are continuing offensive actions in the Melitopol, Berdyansk and Bakhmut directions. The units of the Armed Forces have certain successes and consolidate their positions.

 Also, Ukrainian soldiers continue to work with artillery on identified enemy targets and conduct counter-battery combat. The occupiers, in their turn, resist, transfer reserves of equipment and manpower.

 Kovalev emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting an offensive north and south of Bakhmut.

 "In the direction of Bila Gora - Andriivka, they were successful, they are taking hold of the achieved milestones," the spokesman said.

 At the same time, the representative of the General Staff added that the occupying forces are attacking in the Kupyan, Lyman, Avdiiv and Marin directions. Heavy fighting continues in the specified areas of the front, but the Armed Forces repel the assaults.

Successes of the Armed Forces near Bakhmut

 We will remind you that the Ukrainian military continues to press the enemy in the direction of Bakhmut. Battles continue not in the city itself, but on the flanks. The Armed Forces are advancing and having certain successes.

 Earlier, the Ukrainian command noted that our defenders can take Bakhmut into a tactical encirclement, which will allow them to control the actions of the invaders in the city.

 According to ISW analysts, the Armed Forces control all the heights around Bakhmut and are developing attacks on the northern and southern outskirts of the city.
