On the night of July 11, Russian troops carried out a "powerful drone attack" in the south of Ukraine, in particular, they attacked the grain terminal of one of the ports of Odesa, the operational command "South" reported.
"From the waters of the Black Sea, the enemy sent several waves of Shahed-136 type attack drones. The insidious plan to attack the grain terminal of one of the ports of Odesa was prevented from being implemented by the air defense forces. 22 killer drones were destroyed by the South's air defense forces, two hit the administration building of the port facility," the message reads.
Due to the fall of fragments of downed drones, two near-port terminals caught fire, in particular, the grain terminal, the fire was extinguished, critical destruction and no casualties were recorded, added the "South" OC.
Earlier, the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 26 Shahed drones and one Zala reconnaissance drone launched by Russia on the night of July 11.
Before that, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine had destroyed all drones launched by Russia in the direction of Kyiv on July 11.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that wreckage of Shahed drones was discovered in one of the settlements in the Kyiv region, due to their fall, windows and outbuildings of private households were damaged, grass caught fire, and there was no information about the victims.
