In Poland, it was reported about the detention of another possible member of the Russian intelligence network, he is the fifteenth suspect.
This is reported by RMF24.
Employees of the Internal Security Agency of Poland (ABW) detained the fifteenth possible member of the Russian intelligence network as part of a major investigation conducted by the Lublin Department of the National Prosecutor's Office.
The arrest was announced by Mariusz Kaminski, Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, who also coordinates the work of the special services.
The detainee is a citizen of Ukraine and has lived in Poland since 2019. According to the investigation, he collected data on critical infrastructure, including military facilities and ports, and passed the information to representatives of Russian intelligence for a reward.
The man is accused of participating in an organized criminal group and working for foreign intelligence against the interests of Poland.
He is believed to be a member of a wider spy network that was exposed a few months ago. According to mass media, among other things, its participants tried to monitor the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine. The investigation suggests that sabotage could also be planned on the territory of Poland.
It will be recalled that on March 16, Kaminsky announced the liquidation of the spy network that acted in favor of Russia. Nine people were detained as part of the operation.
Later in March, further arrests of spies exposed from this network took place in Poland.
