The Polish army is moving a thousand soldiers and two hundred pieces of equipment to the border with Belarus. This was announced on Twitter by the General Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
"We are strengthening our presence in eastern Poland, 1,000 servicemen and almost 200 pieces of equipment from the 12th mechanized brigade and the 17th mechanized brigade will move to eastern Poland," the agency said.
Drivers were warned that from July 8, increased movement of military convoys is expected on the northern, central and eastern roads.
The command of the Polish Armed Forces called their decision a demonstration of will and ability to immediately react to attempts to destabilize the situation on the border.
It is also reported that these measures are related to the "Safe Pidlyashsia" operation.
