The Israeli army said it had withdrawn troops from a refugee camp in Jenin after a two-day operation that left 12 Palestinians and one Israeli soldier dead.
This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
"All IDF forces have left Jenin, as the Israeli military operation in the Palestinian city on the West Bank of the Jordan River has ended and its objectives have been achieved," said IDF spokesman Brigadier General. Daniel Hagary on Wednesday morning.
It came after several days of fighting in the northern West Bank city, where the IDF tried to neutralize the terrorist infrastructure.
After the end of the operation, the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniya, issued a statement in which he noted that Israel's military operation in Jenin had failed.
As reported, Israeli forces launched the largest military operation since 2002 in the occupied city of Jenin on the West Bank of the Jordan River, as a result of which at least 8 people have already died and about 80 others have been injured.
