Zaporizhzhya NPP operates as usual on Wednesday, July 5. Significant activity of the occupiers at the station was also not recorded.

Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of the Nikopol RVA, writes about this in the Telegram channel.

"At the moment, the ZNPP is operating in regular mode. No significant movements of the occupants' manpower and equipment have been recorded," he said.

In addition, according to Energoatom, the water level in the ZNPP cooling pond is stable.

"Despite Russian occupiers undermining the dam of the Kakhovskaya HPP, the situation remains stable and under control. As of 08:00 on July 5, the water level in the cooling pond of the Zaporizhzhya NPP has not changed. Currently, it is 16.56 m," the message says.

The water level in the channel of the TPP, from where the pond of the ZNPP is fed if necessary, is at the level of 11.15 m. We note that the water level in the channel has not dropped significantly recently, its indicators no longer depend on the Kakhov reservoir.

In addition, as noted in "Energoatom", the ZNPP power units have not been operating since September 2022, so since then active evaporation of water from the cooling pond has not occurred.

 The situation at the ZANP

The Zaporizhzhya NPP has been occupied by Russian troops since the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. The occupiers, despite the violation of security techniques, keep both manpower and equipment there. It is also known that they mined the station.

The situation around the ZNPP escalated after President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that the Russians were preparing for a terrorist attack on the ZNPP with the subsequent release of radiation. And the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Kyrylo Budanov reported that the occupiers additionally replaced the cooling pond at the station.

The Russians also recommended evacuating the person who signed the contracts with Rosatom. They were supposed to leave by July 5, and yesterday the Russian Federation accused Ukraine of plans to "strike the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant with the help of drones and missiles."
