New photos of Mykhailo Saakashvili from the Georgian prison have appeared.

They show that the ex-president of Georgia continues to rapidly lose weight.

Saakashvili joined the trial from the Vivamedi clinic. In the Tbilisi City Court, a hearing is taking place in the case of the ex-president on the dispersal of a protest action in November 2007.

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili refuses to pardon Saakashvili and says that he must pay for the crimes committed during his leadership of the country.

Zurabishvili said this in an interview with "UP".

"I am primarily responsible to the Georgian people. As president, I have to take into account what the Georgian people feel. The Georgian people survived 9 years of Saakashvili's regime, which left many victims. And this is an issue that polarized and continues to polarize the population of Georgia.

Not that the Georgian people believe that Saakashvili is not guilty. They may not agree that he may not be treated the way a president should. They are very humane; Georgians are very tolerant.

But the feeling of the people is that they should pay for some of the crimes that were committed during his regime - maybe not by him, but under his leadership. That's the feeling in general," the president said.

It will be recalled that the third president of Georgia, Mykhailo Saakashvili, who is in prison, predicted on June 27 that Vladimir Putin "only has a few weeks left" in power in Russia.

"I know Putin very well and I am sure that he only has a few weeks left. We should all be ready by then," Saakashvili wrote on Facebook.

Before that, Saakashvili addressed the peoples of the North Caucasus, saying that "it's time for everyone to step up," as recent events have shown the extreme weakness of the regime in Moscow.

He called for the creation of centers of resistance, preparing the democratic world for the independence of the North Caucasian peoples, and suggested that a permanent secretariat of the Free Caucasus movement could be created in Kyiv.
