The Russian occupiers shelled the Kherson region 85 times in the past day. Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional military administration, reported this on Telegram on July 3.

The invaders fired 490 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, Grads, aviation and UAVs into the region. 35 of them are in Kherson.

"The Russian military entered the residential quarters of the settlements of the region, the buildings of the agricultural enterprise and the pharmacy of the Kherson territorial community," Prokudin noted.

As a result of enemy fire, six civilians, including one child, were injured.

We will remind that Kherson and almost the entire Kherson region were captured by the Russian invaders at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, in February - March 2022. In November, the defense forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, together with the regional center, from the Russian occupiers.

After that, the Russians began systematically shelling Kherson and other liberated settlements in the region.

The left-bank part of the Kherson Region remains under Russian occupation.
