In the village of Serhiyivka, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region, as a result of a Russian attack on a school, two people were killed and six others were injured.
This is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, on June 30, around 11:20 a.m., Russian troops struck the village of Serhiyivka, Pokrovsky district, probably with rocket launchers.
The shooting took place on the territory of a local school. At the time of the shelling, 12 people were in it - representatives of the administration, teachers and technical staff.
A primary school teacher and a chief accountant were killed as a result of the shelling. Six more employees - four men and two women - were injured.
All of them were hospitalized with mine-explosive injuries and shrapnel injuries.
Part of the school building was practically destroyed: classrooms, offices and other premises, furniture and school supplies were smashed.
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office, a pre-trial investigation was started in criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Prosecutors, law enforcement officers and rescuers continue to work at the scene of the attack.
Russian troops shelled nine regions of Ukraine within a day, resulting in casualties and injuries.
