They can cause harm. In Finland, they advocated tightening restrictions on the entry of Russians

Finnish authorities have advocated increased travel to the country for Russians, as they can harm international relations.

This is reported by the Finnish government.

"Another item on the agenda was the trips of Russian citizens to Finland and through Finland to another part of the Schengen zone. The president and the ministerial committee noted that the trips of Russian citizens can, as before, harm Finland's international relations," the message reads.

Therefore, the authorities decided that restrictions on non-essential travel should remain in place and be strengthened to prevent violations.

"Based on the discussions held by the president and the ministerial committee, the government may renew the decree on travel restrictions from September 29, 2022," the government added.

Restrictions on trips of Russians to European countries

After the invasion of Ukraine, a number of countries stopped issuing certain types of visas to Russians, while others refused to accept Russian citizens fleeing mobilization.

Recently, it became known that more than 1,000 Russians fled the mobilization to Finland and asked for asylum. However, the country did not provide it and turned to the EU for recommendations.

The other day, Latvia stopped issuing humanitarian or any other visas to Russians, and also strengthened border protection with the Russian Federation.
