The head of the defense committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Andriy Kartapolov, told "Vidomos" on June 25 that the fate of the internationally recognized criminal organization PMC "Wagner", which staged a mutiny in Russia, has not yet been determined.

"Why should it be banned? All questions should be addressed to the head of the Communist Party of Ukraine [Yevgeny Prigozhin]. Yosyp Vissarionovich [Stalin] said that children are not responsible for their parents. The one who started the mutiny should be responsible. We are used to cutting everything down ", said the deputy.

He called the Wagnerites "the most combat-capable unit in Russia" and said that "disarming and dispersing them is a better gift for NATO and the Ukrainians."

Kartapolov also stated that in Russian Rostov-on-Don during the mutiny, the Wagnerites "didn't do anything bad", "didn't offend anyone, didn't break anything".

"Meduza" draws attention to the fact that during the mutiny, the Wagnerites shot down combat Russian aircraft.

According to the assessment of the OSINT project Oryx, the Russian army lost at least six helicopters, an airplane, a truck and a Tigr-M mobile infantry vehicle during the day of confrontation with the Wagnerites. Losses of personnel, according to Russian propagandists, from 15 to 20 soldiers.

It will be recalled that on June 23, Prigozhin accused the Russian military of attacking the rear camp of mercenaries. He noted that the command to destroy the "Wagner" PMC came from the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov after a meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The Ministry of Defense of Russia called Prigozhin's statement about strikes on the PMC an "informational provocation."

The FSB of Russia opened a criminal case for calling for an "armed rebellion" after Prigozhin's statements and called on the Wagnerites to detain him.

On June 24, Prigozhin announced that the Wagnerites had taken control of all military facilities in Rostov-on-Don, including the airfield. According to him, until the Wagnerites "receive" Gerasimov and Shoigu, the PVC will "block the city of Rostov" and "go to Moscow."

In a number of regions of Russia, including Moscow and the Moscow Region, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the morning of June 24 (KHTO, the regime was canceled on June 26).
