The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office arrested the head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Golovko for accepting a bribe.

"NABU and SAP detained the head of the Ternopil Regional Council and two deputy heads of the Ternopil Military-Civil Administration for receiving illegal benefits," the message reads.
It is known that we are talking about Golovko and TVA deputy heads Ihor Demianchuk and Ihor Hayduk.
According to the investigation, they demanded almost 1.8 million hryvnias from the owner of the enterprise for signing the acts of construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the communal enterprise of the Ternopil Regional Council.
After the transfer of the third tranche in the amount of over UAH 600,000, Golovka and two of his deputies were detained "red handed".
Currently, law enforcement officers are preparing to announce the suspicion to officials of the Ternopil Regional Council and the Ternopil Regional Military Administration.
According to NABU, the preliminary qualification for the head of the Ternopil Regional Council Mykhailo Golovko and two deputy heads of the TOVA Volodymyr Trush - Ihor Hayduk and Ihor Demianchuk - part 4 of Article 368 (bribery of a person who provides public services) of the Criminal Code.
The sanction of this article provides for deprivation of liberty for a period of 4 to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to 3 years, with confiscation of property.
In the bribery case with the head of the Ternopil Regional Council, the amount of 1.8 million UAH and the company "Avax Prof" appear.
