To Moscow
In the Voronezh region, according to the Russian mass media, fighting continues between "Wagner" mercenaries and the army of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. A fire broke out in Voronezh itself, the network says that an oil refinery is on fire.
According to Russian reports, the "Wagneri" shot down a plane of the Russian army in the Voronezh region. In general, the network reported that the "insurgents" had already destroyed three enemy helicopters, the information was not confirmed by any party.
Putin's phone conversations
Vladimir Putin held telephone conversations with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Kazakhstan, Kasim-Jomart Tokayev, Putin's press secretary Peskov reports.
The press service of the President of Kazakhstan notes that Putin told Tokayev about the situation in the Russian Federation. We were probably talking about the rebellion of the head of the "Wagner" PMC, Yevhen Prigozhin. However, in response, the dictator received Tokayev's statement that the events taking place in the Russian Federation are Russia's internal affairs.
No one will come with a confession
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin accused PVK founder Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin of treason and "fratricide". The latter noted that "no one will come with a confession."
Yevgeny Prigozhin's Telegram channel reports this.
"The president was deeply mistaken about the betrayal of the homeland. We are patriots of our homeland. We fought and are fighting - all the fighters of the "Wagner" PMK. And no one is going to surrender at the request of the FSB, the president or anyone else, because we do not want the country continued to live in corruption, deception and bureaucracy," Prigozhin said.
According to the founder of Wagner PMC, when his mercenaries fought in Africa, they were told in the Kremlin that Russia needed this continent. However, after that, Russia stole all the money.
During the war against Ukraine, Prigozhin claims, Russian officials also continued to steal money and save it for "the case that happened today, when someone goes to Moscow."
"Now they don't spare anything, they use airplanes and helicopters to hit columns where civilians are walking. At the same time, they hit civilians because they don't hit and hit wherever they want. That's why we are patriots. And those who today those who oppose us are those who gathered around the scum," Prigozhin added.
Russian soldiers write that the army aircraft struck the M-4 highway, along which the "Wagnerians" are moving.
Such a message appeared on the telegram page of the Wagner channel after Putin's statement.
Much earlier, PMK "Wagner", whose founder is Yevgeny Prigozhin, entered Voronezh. Mercenaries took control of all military facilities in the city.
This is reported by Reuters.
As the publication writes, the entrance to the city was reported by the mercenaries themselves, as well as by some pro-Russian Telegram channels. There is no official confirmation of this yet.
Sources in the Russian special services informed the newspaper about the seizure of military facilities.
As in Moscow and the Moscow region, the so-called "counter-terrorist operation" was also announced in the Voronezh region.
"Meanwhile, the governor of the Voronezh region, Oleksandr Gusev, has not announced anything about the seizure of military facilities. His latest message is about helping motorists who are stuck in traffic jams on the Don highway. Traffic on this road is currently blocked," the publication writes.
A little earlier, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin addressed the Russians about Prigozhin's rebellion.
The dictator's address was announced in the Kremlin this morning. Putin's speech was broadcast by the main state propaganda channels, it lasted only 5 minutes.
Betrayal and backstabbing
The dictator called Prigozhin's rebellion an apostasy and a blow to the back of Russia.
"And that's why the actions that split our unity are, in fact, apostasy from our people, from our comrades-in-arms, who are now fighting at the front. This is a blow to the back of our country and our people," the dictator said.
In addition, Putin accused Prigozhin of treason, and called the actions of his mercenaries "fratricide."
"And what we faced was betrayal. Excessive ambitions and personal interests led to betrayal. To betrayal of our country, our people, and the cause for which we stand side by side with our other parts and units fighters and commanders of the "Wagner" group fought and died," he said.
Threats
The Russian dictator declared that Prigozhin himself and the militants who opposed his regime would be eliminated.
"Whoever organized and prepared a military mutiny, who raised arms against his comrades in arms, betrayed Russia. And they will be held accountable for this. And those who are trying to be involved in this crime, I urge them not to make a fatal and tragic, unrepeatable mistake, to do the only right thing the choice is to stop participating in criminal activities," Putin said.
At the end, the head of the Kremlin traditionally promised to "protect" Russia and urged the militants not to make a "fatal mistake.
Meanwhile, in Moscow and the Moscow Region, a regime of counter-terrorist operations was introduced due to the rebellion of the leader of the "Wagner" Communist Party, Yevhen Prigozhin.
This is reported by "RIA Novosti".
"In order to stop possible terrorist attacks on the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region, a regime of counter-terrorist operations has been introduced," Russian mass media write.
Such a regime was also introduced in the Voronezh region of Russia.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation appealed to the "Wagnerians"
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation turned to the fighters of the "Wagner" PMC. Shoigu says that mercenaries were tricked into Prigozhin's "criminal adventure", and many "Wagnerians" have allegedly already returned to their deployment points.
"We ask you to be prudent and get in touch with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense or law enforcement agencies as soon as possible. We guarantee everyone's safety," the message reads.
There is panic in Moscow
Russian mass media and the public report that roadblocks were set up at the entrance to Moscow, and security forces and guardsmen were also brought to the Russian capital. In addition, military equipment was spotted at the approaches to Moscow.
What preceded it
We will remind you that yesterday the leader of the "Wagneri" Yevgeny Prigozhin announced a demarche against the Russian military leadership. His troops entered Rostov-on-Don and seized the building of the Southern District of the Russian Federation.
Prigozhin himself said that he had held talks with the Deputy Minister of Defense, and announced that he was "going to Moscow" allegedly to deal with lawlessness.
