Russian troops are considering the option of withdrawing from the territory of Crimea after the explosions on the Chongar bridges. In particular, most of the Gauleiter and military command have already removed their families and assets from the peninsula.
Andriy Yusov, a representative of the State Government, told about this on the air of the "Freedom.Ranok" program.
"One of the real scenarios that the occupiers are considering for themselves is withdrawal from Crimea. A significant part of the occupation administration and command, realizing this, has already taken their families out, and also taken out their assets," he said.
In addition, according to him, a number of enterprises in occupied Crimea are preparing for evacuation, including collecting documents for transportation to the territory of the Russian Federation.
After all, as the representative of GUR added, if you look at the trenches that the occupiers are building in Crimea, you can see that a significant part of them is located far from the border with mainland Ukraine.
"Therefore, yes, this is a scenario that they consider for themselves and understand its realism," Yusov stated.
Attacks on the Chongar bridges
On the night of June 22, Chongar bridges connecting Kherson region and Crimea were struck. Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the Kherson region, said that the blows were apparently inflicted by Storm Shadow missiles. Later, a video appeared online showing the damage to the crossing.
GUR responded to the explosions on the Chongar bridges. Without disclosing the details of the shelling, Yusov warned that "there will be more". Today, the spokesperson of the operational command "South" Nataliya Humenyuk said that after the attacks on the Chongar bridges, the occupiers struck the Antoniv bridge area using tactical aircraft.
Let us add that in February 2022, it was from the Chongara district that the Russian army invaded the Kherson region.
