France handed Ukraine equipment for creating 3D models of war crime sites, which will help prepare case materials, in particular, regarding the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
This was reported by the French Embassy in Ukraine.
On June 22, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine received equipment for creating 3D models of crime scenes. This officially ends the French mission "Fighting impunity", for which French criminal investigators came to Ukraine under the auspices of the International Criminal Court.
Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin noted that Ukraine highly appreciates this French assistance. "The equipment handed over today will greatly help our prosecutors and experts in documenting the consequences of strikes on civilian infrastructure. In Ukraine, there are more than 110,000 objects destroyed or damaged by the Russian military," said Andriy Kostin.
He recalled that earlier France gave Ukraine two mobile laboratories for DNA analysis, helped the work of Ukrainian investigators on the ground and contributed to the work of the International Criminal Court.
Three teams of French forensic investigators have already arrived in Ukraine, assisting in the investigation of crimes committed in Buch, Irpen, and Izyum, and recently French experts shared their experience with Ukrainian colleagues in Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih.
