The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova condemned the recent statements of Volodymyr Saldo, a protégé of Russia in the occupied part of the Kherson region, which sounded direct threats to Moldova.

 With reference to the department's statement, TVR Moldova reports.

 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the Russian ambassador to the Republic of Moldova will be urgently summoned to provide relevant explanations.

 "Such statements are absolutely unacceptable. We will not tolerate such statements directed against the Republic of Moldova. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will urgently summon the head of the diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova with the demand to provide appropriate explanations," the official said in a statement.

 A Russian protege in the Kherson region showed Kyiv that the attack on the bridge was carried out on a memorable day for Russia, and threatened to attack bridges in the Odesa region and on the territory of Moldova.

 "The coordinates of the bridges in Odesa, in Moldavian Giurgiulesti, which were part of Ukraine, but were transferred to the Danube by the Yushchenko regime at one time... All these coordinates are known, so there will be a very serious answer soon," he said.
