The German Ministry of Defense has analyzed the course of hostilities in Ukraine, which, in particular, shows that the Ukrainian military is trying to weaken the Russian army with sabotage far behind the front line.
The report by the German Ministry of Defense is available to Bild.
According to the report, pro-Ukrainian sabotage groups disrupted the main railway connection in the Zaporizhzhia region occupied by Russian troops.
In addition, the railway in occupied Crimea was attacked by saboteurs.
According to the German Ministry of Defense, this proves that Ukrainian forces can still operate in regions controlled by Russia, far beyond the front line.
The German ministry is also analyzing the detonation of an ammonia pipeline in the Kharkiv region at the beginning of June.
The report states that "the involvement of Ukraine in the destruction of the ammonia pipeline cannot be ruled out."
The document also analyzes Ukraine's latest counteroffensive operations.
In particular, according to the German Ministry of Defense, the Russian occupation forces are defending the front "from prepared positions with all available forces." At the same time, the Russian army increasingly relies on "air, missile and drone attacks" to inflict losses on Ukrainian forces.
In the area of the city of Bakhmut, Russian troops are under pressure, the German agency notes. In addition, the Russian army "probably no longer controls the entire territory of the city."
Earlier, the head of the intelligence center of the Estonian Defense Forces, Colonel Margo Grosberg, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct intelligence in order to find weak points in the defensive positions of the Russian occupation forces. According to him, there will be no active countermeasures in the coming week.
