British intelligence: after blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP, the Russian Federation transfers part of its forces from the Dnipro to the east

After blowing up the Kakhovskaya HPP, Russia is transferring part of its forces, which were stationed along the Dnieper, to the Zaporizhzhya direction and near Bakhmut, British intelligence reports.

This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense dated June 19.

Analysts note that during the last 10 days, the Russian Federation has with a high probability begun to transfer parts of the group, which took up positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, as reinforcements in Zaporizhzhya and the Bakhmut sector.

It potentially involves several thousand troops of the 49th Army, including its 34th Separate Mechanized Brigade, as well as paratroopers and marines.

"The transfer of these troops, most likely, reflects the feeling of the Russian Federation that a major attack by Ukraine across the Dnipro became less likely after the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovsky reservoir and the resulting flood," - notes the intelligence.

In a preliminary review, British intelligence reported that Russian forces were now suffering their heaviest losses since the Battle of Bakhmut.
