On the morning of Friday, June 16, Ukrainian military personnel are stationed at occupied borders in the area of the city of Vugledar, Donetsk region. In addition, offensive actions were carried out in two directions.

 This was announced by the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Kovalev during a live broadcast from the Military Media Center in the telethon.

 "In the area of the city of Vugledar, Ukrainian soldiers were successful in some areas. During the assault, they are entrenched at the achieved boundaries," he said.

 In addition, as the speaker said, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted offensive actions in the directions - Novodanilivka-Robotyne and Levadne-Staromayorske, and not without results.

 In addition, according to him, the offensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also carried out in the area east of the settlement of Stupochka (Kostyantynivskyi district) of the Donetsk region.

 "The Russian occupiers were pushed out of their positions," Kovalev stated.

 Battles in the Ugledar region

 On June 15, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were advancing in the Tavria direction. In particular, in the Vugledar area of the Donetsk region, the Armed Forces managed to approach the positions of the occupiers up to 1 km. Later, this fact was confirmed by Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the operational and strategic group of troops "Tavria", without giving the numbers.
