The General Staff denied Russia's statement about the "beginning of a counteroffensive" of the Armed Forces

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied the statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense that Ukrainian fighters allegedly "launched a major counteroffensive." They also noted that they will not comment on Russian fakes.

 This is reported by Reuters.

Thus, the Ukrainian military informed the publication on Monday that they have no information about "a major offensive, which, according to the statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense, was launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction."

"We do not have such information and we do not comment on any fake," said an unnamed spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a comment to the publication.

Russia's statement about the start of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces

We will remind you that today the Ministry of Defense of Russia informed about the so-called beginning of the counteroffensive by Ukraine. There they announced a "large-scale offensive of the Armed Forces on five areas of the front." It was claimed that it "began on the morning of June 4".

The Russian statement also stated that the offensive of the Armed Forces allegedly began in the south of the Donetsk region, with the introduction into battle of two mechanized brigades "from the strategic reserves of the Armed Forces with the support of other military units and units."

At the same time, Ukraine allegedly "six mechanized and two tank battalions were involved in order to break through the defenses on the most vulnerable part of the front."

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation even had time to fantasize that the Armed Forces of Ukraine apparently "did not achieve their goals" and "suffered losses in manpower and equipment."

Ukrainians were warned about the hostile IPSO

In turn, the Center for Strategic Communications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned Ukrainians that the Russian occupiers are intensifying their informational and psychological operations.

"In order to demoralize Ukrainians and mislead the community (including their own population), Russian propagandists will spread unreliable information about the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, its directions and losses of Ukrainian troops," StatCom said.

They add that for this information operation, the enemy has prepared old videos and photos with captured, dead and destroyed equipment.

The Ministry of Defense will not announce the start of a counteroffensive of the Armed Forces

It is worth noting that earlier the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, emphasized that there will be no announcement of the start of a counteroffensive.

"Plans love silence. There will be no announcement about the start," Malyar wrote the day before.
